At just 16 years old, Sebastian Espinoza has already made a name for himself in the world of karting. In his debut season, he captured the K1 Canadian Teen Championship and delivered an impressive 8 wins and 11 podiums in the Canadian Rookie Karting Championship (CRKC). This early success fueled his drive into his second season, where he earned a podium at the K1 World Championship—becoming the first Canadian teen to ever achieve this.

Beyond competition, Sebastian gained valuable experience across Ontario, racing in the TRAK Championship and KartStars Championship while also volunteering and working with several top karting teams to deepen his technical knowledge during his first year in owner karting.

Now entering his second season in owner karting, Sebastian is more motivated than ever—focused on elevating his performance, competing at higher levels, and taking on greater challenges as he continues his motorsport journey.

Sebastian Espinoza-Mejia, the K1 Speed teen Canadian champion, took third in the 2025 K1 Speed Teen E-World Championship and earned $2,500 for his efforts. Having started in seventh place, Espinoza-Mejia maintained composure throughout the final race at K1 Circuit Winchester and was able to gain positions among the best teens in the world.
